After clutch install, not shifting into ANY gear with engine on
Hey guys, today I replaced my clutch on my sedan 2000 and at the end when everything was back in place, the car WILL not shift when its on, but when its off it goes 1-4 and half of 5th gear. I used the spline tool to align the clutch during the install. Now I have to do it all over again but would like to know what the possible problem might be, PLEASE HELP!!!!!
I followed the instructions from these DIYs (they're both the same thing):

I also replaced the rear main seal since I was down there.

You may not have lined up the end of the slave cylinder with the dimple in the release fork (easy fix) or the release fork wasn't installed right (requires dropping the tranny to fix)
i had a similar problem. had a good pedal, even replaced the slave, the fork was engaging, i just dropped the tranny and re torqued the clutch down to spec and put it back on and it was fine.
Thanks guys, I'll work on it today after work with whatever sunlight I can get and report back with good or bad news, hopefully good

Bleeding the clutch will not resolve the problem. It is mechanical...such as the clutch fork. More than likely, that's the case. Too bad you have to remove the transmission in order to get to it.
Update 2/06: my dad n I took the tranny off again and checked the fork and clutch bearing and seemed fine, the tranny pibot point where the fork grabs on was between the spring, so its: spring, pivot, fork. Next idea is to remove the pressure plate and retorque the bolts back to spec n hope that solves it. Any advice/things to watch out for to avoid doing the same thing again?
I'm also going to replace the slave cylinder in case thats the problem, hopefully this time itll work after everything goes back up. Quick question, does it matter if the car was in gear when the tranny came off for the first time? Cuz I dont remember if it was or in neutral.
Are you sure the clutch disc isn't installed backwards? The flat part goes towards the flywheel and the raised side goes into the pressure plate.

Can't be done on any Honda I've ever done, the pressure plate will sit out at least half an inch away from the flywheel.
***** this ****!!!! (Cuz it wont let me put it with the F) I put everything back again and still gives me problems so I'm just gonna take the damn car to a phucken mechanic and pay to have it done. I'm phucken tired of this ****!!! Thanks for all your help guys.
