Default Question on doing an Automatic EG with a k swap?

I live in a high traffic area, eventually I want to do a k swap on my eg, whihc is an automatic, I would love to keep the automatic, because in all honesty I don't have the patience for manual. But after some searching I haven't found much info, so will it be more complicated then the thoroughly covered Manual K swap? Will I have issues with mounting the transmission, or anything of that nature, any advice is always appreciated.

There's a reason for that. Your best bet is researching here. http://www.k20a.org/forum/index.php

Moved to hybrid.

I'm not going to tell you it can't be done, but it's probably a lot more trouble than it's worth. Also K-pro is a manual only deal IIRC. Using the stock ECU requires a lot of extra wiring and swapping the fuel tank. Honestly driving a manual, even in a high traffic area is pretty simple.

If you really want a swapped automatic EG you'll probably end up with a B-series. Even then, my friend who did it had a hell of a time with it. Lots of wiring and then I think he went through three or four transmissions before he sold the motor and did a manual conversion with a different swap.

Are there any shops that have this down to a science? I have an evo I don't really want to make this manual, I'm guessing the easiest is a mini swap then, but I'm really not looking to do that.

The ultra rare swap he asking about. Yeah, I don't understand the question about a shop either. If you can't find any info on the swap anywhere then why would it follow that there would be a shop that specializes in such a swap?

I know a friend who had an auto h23a vtec 97 ek coupe which was kinda weird but it is probably the difference in wiring to the k that makes it harder but it can be done if you have time and patience.

The 6G and 5G cars have differences in the clearance area for transmission btw. So I've heard, at least. I guess there have been issues fitting auto B-series into USDM 6Gs, but my friend put that auto B-series into his 5G without clearance issues.

Auto B, D, and H-series might fit. Doesn't mean K-series autos will.

I thought the post was about a K-series? These are two totally different engines. Have you ever even read what goes into either swap?

I know it's two different engines just saying an h is closer to the k in some ways like the cable for the trans and similar torque and power. I have had various h/f series motors auto and manual and seen auto k trans and they have the similar one cable to shift it so why can't it be done. I have an f22a1 with f20b pistons along with the f22 crank and rods it works perfectly but besides the point i know it's a k he's talking about and it can be done.

You actually use manual mounts. Remember that the right side bracket, which differs between manual and automatic chassis, has to be CUT OFF of the frame rail and a replacement bracket is bolted in... thus, it makes no difference which mount type you started with, you end with what you need.
