Well I figured I would update you guys on what I have been up to since last season. It's been a while since I posted and some of us keep in contact over Facebook, but for those that don't. Here ya go.
After the Skullcandy/Team CA Sport Civic team ran out of money at Watkins Glenn, I was picked up to work as a mechanic for Mitchum Motorsports. I finished the season working as a mechanic and front tire changer for their #6 Camaro. Awesome bunch of guys. Great team to work for. After the season I fully intended on returning to Team Skullcandy. They had been given 3 Nissan Altima coupes to run in the ST class of the Continental Tire Challenge in 2012. Christmas time came around and I received a call from Chris Mitchum, Team Owner at Mitchum Motorsports, with an offer I couldn't refuse. He wanted me be car chief for his new BMW ST program. I signed a contract for the full 2012 season as the #60 BMW 128i of Mitchum Motorsports:

Our drivers being Robert Stout and Kevin Gleason. Both very smart, young guys with plenty of talent. Our first race was last weekend in Daytona and in a 39 car ST field we finished 7th. Overcame a drive through penalty and plenty of traffic for a top 10. Needless to say, we have a platform with plenty of speed and the right drivers to do well this season.
The 24!!
After the Continental race was over. I was rolled over to Mitchum's 24 hour Rolex onslaught. Mitchum teamed with Liqui Moly and Franz Englster for this race. My duties were to rotate tire changer and dry break duties as the Porsche would need to stop every 45 min for fuel and every other stop we would add new tires. I can't quite explain the experience. It was amazing, incredibly fun, hard and disappointing all rolled into one event. Definitely not for someone that doesn't love sport of wheel to wheel racing. At 2 am in the morning I found myself on top of the media center spotting for our drivers and talking directly to Franz as he navigated his way through traffic. 18 hours in the race we broke our second transmission and Chris Mitchum decided to call the race. He called us all into the center of our pit stall, with tears running down his face and ours he told us he was proud of each one of us and it wasn't cause a lack of effort that we didn't finish.
One of the greatest experiences of my life. Only to be trumped by the day I married my wife and when each of my children were born. I love motorsports, the only way this gets better for me is when I get the opportunity to drive a Rolex24!

Thanks Paul. Appreciate the support. I don't know what subscribed means, but Facebook would be the place to follow. I always update the Innovative Garage Facebook page. Are we friends there?
If you "like" my Meris Motorsports facebook page (www.facebook.com/merismotorsports), I'll like yours...lol

Thanks man. It all kinda ramped up slowly until this year. I always had mechanic and suspension setup knowledge, but started volunteering for a local race team 4 years ago, first just doing stuff like unloading the semi truck and setting up pit wall. Now I'm car chief of the #60 and doing setup for both BMW's.
Thanks guys. I know what you mean about cheering for all teams. I have been in this series a while now. I have friends on almost all the teams. So its good to see everyone succeed.
Not as cool as yours but I'm going to be crewing for some local Chump/Lemons teams. Someone's gotta wash the bubble right? One of the teams is headed by a former Porsche team manager.
