D16Z6 camshafts
im looking to cam my stock z6 can anyone help me figure out which would be the best stage 1 for my stock motor im thinking either bisimoto, blok or crower but im new to the engine mods so any help and input would be very much appreciated
Really? How much horsepower do you actually think you'll make? Or is it just something you think you're supposed to do to gain power? These are econo-box engines that are pretty efficient from the factory for gas-mileage, not power. What kind of power do you think you'll get from a set of cams with no other supporting mods and no tune to take advantage of it?
I agree woth grumblemarc, it be cheaper just to swap.in a b series engine imo, a b18b full swap can be had for around 800, if not cheaper, youll have about 20 more horsepower and about 20 more ftlbs tourque stock.
I believe tuning is needed for a cam as well. Well, tuning should be needed at least. Making the investment not worth it that much more.
D16y8, crower stage 2 camshaft, bolt ons, and tuned on Hondata - car sounded good, but was slow as *****. I had this set-up maybe like 2-3 years ago.
