I think ls/vtec......I am in the same boat right now. I have a 88' civic hatch with a ls in it and Im trying to decide the same thing. I am kinda leaning to the ls/vtec because one of my friends had that setup and ran it for about 30,000 miles and it ran strong. It didnt give out until he straped on a turbo and blew 2 of the pistons.
