Default S/T sway bars

I just installed the Suspension Techniques rear sway bar on my 92 coupe, it turned the car into a whole different animal. It tends to oversteer a bit now which is pretty much what the rear sway bar SHOULD do.

Anyway, has anyone done just the rear, and then installed the front S/T bar later on? Can you comment on how much the front & rear bar improved handling versus just the rear? If the front bar makes as much of a difference as the rear, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I have the set, and really wish I had just put the rear on first and saw how it felt. Handles much better than before, although it's not tail happy at all. My R was much easier to get the back end to swing out.

I bought just the rear bar and will never buy a front unless I go to some crazy high spring rate like 1200 lbs. I actually have loosened the front bar to get more oversteer in the car. It tends to plow to much on track and there is a definent tire wear issue with that plow after I get off the track.
don't worry about the front bar, but also be prepared for the car to snap quicker than before.

The way I understood it, you will have to drill the rear trailing arms either way, even if you have an EX (mine is an EX, and I had to drill the holes.) I've seen people do it both ways, either using the existing hole from the stock rear sway bar, or being like me and drilling a new hole. The instructions say that you are supposed to drill a hole 1" forward of the existing stud. I drilled the hole - it wasn't that hard.

Note that even with my stock exhaust, the bar rubbed on the exhaust pipe. I cut a piece of heater hose and put it in between, it seems to be doing the job.

actually when i installed mine, i had to remove the axleback portion of my catback to gain clearance for the sway bar. the s/t rear sway bar was a pain, and i had to drill holes too even though i have an ex. from what i heard, adding a front sway bar will make the car feel neutral again, almost like stock. the rear sway bar only is much better IMO unless you absolutely hate oversteer.

Putting my car on stands took me 40 minutes, installing the bar took me 20. It was cake. The bushings can be bought from AutoZone or Pepboys.

Yeah. I was surprised how tight the bar was with my stock exhaust... I can't imagine how it would be with bigger piping in the way.

I am having fun with the rear sway bar - learning how to drive a little bit more agressively. it was a little scary in the rain at first, though!

the only thing that sucks is that when my car is on road with an angle ,my rear sway bar rubs against the piping of my catback and makes a loud rubbing noise. does anyone know something that i can do?

wrap a piece of radiator hose over the offending piece of swaybar.

If you use the ST rear bar, I would recommend some custom piping.

I've got a radiator hose on mine. It just goes around the problem instead of fixing it.

i thought rad hose, but then got worried that it might melt(unlikely) but just in case i wrapped exhaust wrap around the rubbing/clinking section

oh and notice how there is virtually no body roll
