2005 pilot fob. Will it lose its programming?
My 2005 pilot fob housing was broken so I bought a shell online and took the guts from the old fob and put in the new and got the key cut. The car will crank over but it will not start. Will the fob lose its programming? I put new battery in and the led does not light up either. The batter was dead for about 6 months before I replaced it. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance for the help
if you had the key cut, did you also reprogrammed it for your vehicle?
did the seller gave you instructions on how to program it?
the following thread shows a small part called the immobilizer
no green light = maybe a dead battery
something similar to that key

it shouldn't lose it's programming if you replaced the battery & still have the immobilizer chip in it
pause video at 2:17 and you'll see the immobilizer chip on the lower cover (right hand), bottom corner by the key
