Default Need honest opinion about high rpms and spinning a rod bearing

Would going 100mph in 3rd gear, going 7500 rpm with a D16Y8 with cp pistons, Eagle Rods, Acl bearings, polished crank (stock), running 5lbs of boost, spin a bearing? I am just looking for other peoples opinions.

There you go. He probably drove the crap out of it and ran it low on oil. And if he drove it mean like that once im sure he did it all the time. I sold my sentra with boosted sr20 to a kid, had less then 40k miles. 4 months later he called me complaining it had a rod knock, I told him i would come look at it. It was 2 1/2 quarts low on oil and it spun a bearing when he was racing it. Go figure.

Tell him to get ****ed.

If it was the engine was engine was assembled correctly, and he had enough oil in it, no.

This is perfectly feasible on a stock, maintained Y7 even w/o the fancy lower parts. Just wouldn't make a habit of it.

If it isn't yours any longer then you cares? YOu can spin a bearing with a stock motor if the conditions are right.

Thanks for your opinions and sorry the thread isn't in the right place. I should have mentioned he was making payments obviously stupid on my part. But he wants me to fix it after all of that for no cost. I laughed. But I know the kid was racing it, He talked about going to the Beloit drag strip a few times. I take care of what I drive and it was running fine in my ownership. I just wasn't too sure if it would or wouldn't, I just wanted other opinions. Thanks again.

Payments? Are you kidding me? No paperwork stating the car was as is and all repairs would be his responsibility? Does he have the pink slip?

Waiting for the OP to come back and chime in about this payment thing......

I am just floored already at the fact you gave him the car and switched the titles even though payment wasn't made in full. lol

If you gave him the title you screwed up, if you did not list yourself as the lien holder on said title, you screwed up - taking PAYMENTS is the ultimate screw up!!!

That being said, and not being able to change the past, your only options are going to be civil court. DOWNLOAD and PRINT all of his comments, video's, ANYTHING before he edits or deletes them so that you have them available for court. Don't tell him you have these documents, just inform him that the sale is as is, he fixes the problem AND HE NEEDS TO FINISH PAYING YOU or you sue him in civil court... either that, or take this as a life learning experience and eat it... either way I would NOT pay to have the vehicle fixed...

I'm not a complete idiot. I have the title with a lean in my possession. Also I have contract saying as is no warranties expressed or implied. I was just curious to see how many people say yes or no, kinda helps with court.
