I am picking up an S2000 that has had the seats stolen. I was wondering what I could grab from the wrecking yard for dirt cheap to bolt in for temporary use. I was thinking OEM EG/DC/EK/EF seats. All the holes dont need to bolt up, but at least 2 do so I am not completely rocking around. Also if the seat belt works that would be a huge plus. I dont care about looks, they will be replaced asap.

I have correct seats coming in (OEM S2k) but need something that I can use asap for cheap.

Any and all options appreciated. Thanks!

You're serious......try searching for and buying the cheapest used, old, and ugly ap1 seats....Craigslist is always filled with them, they should run you 200-300 yen

 

prelude seats will line up in front. may or may not need the back part chopped off. rsx/EP3 as well. make sure the seatbelt buckles in and is across your hip/shoulder and nowhere else. A 10hr drive translates to a 300-400$ tractor trailor tow so it's not worth your life to save 200$ (it would have been 200 in gas/food/etc.)

 

Will EG / DC fronts line up aswell? I think the two fronts will also line up.

 

If you are driving 10 hrs there, then 10 hrs back with two vehicles then you are paying for 30hrs of driving total. Have you checked how much shipping the car would be? I drove 9 hrs to pick mine up recently which ended up costing me around $650 ($200 of which was for the flat tire I got)

Found a Bride rep w/ rails for s2k for pretty cheap. So I wont have the joy of 2 bolts but a much more safe 4. Darn

 

plastic garden chair and gaffer tape.

 

Sit on the floor? Ive pulled mine in and out of the garage a free times without a seat...

 

you can also probably find some really cheap ugly tan s2000 seats on craigslist.

A mint set of tans can sell for 1500$

seeing how you got $800 oem seats coming in, why not just wait for them to come in. Don't waste a couple hundred on a seat or two with the oem seats coming in...

 

Yeah, like If I had that ugly red interior I'd probably swap for tan. I get it.

Tan wins all dayyyy, and you don't see it as much as the other colors.
