I wish I had an cd5 v6, I'd keep the motor in it and enjoy it.
I'm not certain but I believe your chassis is longer in the engine compartment, could make swaps complicated.

You should stick to the C & J series V6 swaps as your chassis is already rigged up that way. I would imagine that the H22 swap would be a lot more work for less hp.

Time/difficulty = How much of the work are you going to be doing and how proficient are you with engine swaps?

Cost depends on how much of the work you can do yourself and how much the parts cost in your area.

You need to decide what your goals are for the car before you can really decide what engine and trans would be best. After you decide that. Then you can figure, how long, how difficult and how much.

Not to hijack your thread but I am shocked at how many of you guys want a V6 CD. I have had two of them 1995, and now a 1997. Both EX-Ls. Good cars but they are only 170hp and they are non-vtec. Rated at 19-25mpg under the pre 2008 standards. Finding a fender or a hood used it is pita, the front hubs/rotors/calipers are bigger than the 4cyl's and more expensive.

I have a super clean 1997 from SC. No rust whatsoever. That I would part with
