Default Jdm Zc mounting

Yo yo, I have a d15b2 in the car right now. About to purchase the jdm Zc. Does it bolt right in to the existing mounts or do I need adapters? And I've also heard the harness for it is basically a plug n play deal?

The motor physically bolts in like factory, the engine harness however will be a problem, it will require modification to work.
Search the forum for a good writeup on "DPFI to MPFI" conversion.

I'm ordering it from one of those jdm sites. It comes with everything on it, but wouldn't the distributor wire up differently also. I can't see it being only a conversion from Dpfi to mpfi

Last question post on this. i cant find anything on this in the forums, atleast enought to help. this will be my secont swap in a rex, first time by myself and the last time was about 5 yrs ago. i have the d15b2. gunna put d16zc in. i know i need the pm6. now does that hook right up to the ecu wires already in the car? then once i get into the engin bay is there an adaptor or conversion harness that hooks up? This motor will come with zero wiring with the exception of whats on it to plug into the ecu harness. Do i keep all of the same wiring and splice into that ****? i know you can covert dpfi to mpfi but what about the distributor plugs and ****, i did see that they were different on the searching that i did attempt. The motor is OBD0 also. CoNFusIng

I found a crx si harness. if i buy the pm6 will this take care of the injector conversion trouble? In other words will getting this make the swap nice and simple, no cutting or anything??

I have a JDM DOHC ZC in my 91 hatch. It drops right in with the stock d-series mounts. The Si harness should work (i had my DPFI converted to MPFI). Where are you getting it from though? Some sites include harness and ECU with it so you wont have to worry about finding a PM6. If not, i have mine running off a chipped LS ecu and it runs strong.

engine wiring harnesses are not interchangeable - you cannot use the Si engine harness on a car originally equipped with DPFI - you need to use the DPFI engine harness and make the needed wiring changes to it - are you talking SOHC ZC or DOHC ZC? - PM6 is o.k. for the SOHC ZC but not the best ECU for the DOHC ZC

Whatever your car is, DPFI or MPFI you use that engine harness. If your car is DPFI you modify that to make it MPFI or buy a modified harness like off ebay like I did. The DOHC ZC drops right in and you can use the pm6, pg7 or pm7. I used all three but I like the pm7 since it was made for that motor. you can use your same axles, trans, shift linkage, and mounts thats on your car now. I had a lot of fun with this swap but sad I traded my CRX with this swap. It was a fun car. killed a lot of LS swaps with short gear trannys and stuck around with some b16s

nice! I wont be getting this motor for a month or so now. I've been workin on this motor for the past 2 months or so. it is the dual point d15. it hesitates at low rpm and when it starts to kik i cant floor it and it just starts sputtering like a ****. when it sttarted acting up a while ago the ecu was throwing a codes for o2, tps and iac valve. took care of all the codes. it runs fine while it warms up and i can take it out for about 3 or 4 mins. and then it starts to kick again. i put the external msd coil on it and iddnt do anything. just put a new 1st stage injector in it but nothing. a high flow cat should be here soon incase my converter is toast. it ran fine whn i got it and started doin this ****. about 5 min. ago i put a new ingnition control modual in it and like a said, drives cool for a bit but then back to doing it.it has a new walbro 190 in it so i dont think its fuel, just replaced the fuel filter also. And it wont thro anymore codes. after it starts kikin while im drivin it will die also, then u starts smellin the sulfer in the cat and it wont start back up unless it sits for a min. When i run it up around 3k with the second injector running its fine tho. So cat might not be buring everything off idk. I'm about to burn this damn car. I'm not for sure but my last rex was an si and the kid blew the motor on my way to pick it up so we dropped a cheap d15 in it and it was running off the old ecu and harness, was alto mpfi. idk what to do at all. ive wasted about 300 dollars in parts. O and i had put a new distributor on it beofre i converted the old one to external msd and it ran perfectly fine for about 3 weeks. then started the same crap again. FML

ok, after talking to a couple of ppl they were talking about a camshaft position sensor or crankshaft position sensor.. they said the symptoms i am having can definatly be caused by a bad one. i have the factory distributor on it and its converted to the external msd coil pack. after looking on the forums iver seen ppl saying to replace the dizzy.. WTF is that lol. and there is a sensor right underneathe of the distributor that mounts right into the side of the head where it meets the block by the bell housing. is that for temp? I cannot find any diagrams or anything. thanks.

i think the one i got for it that fixed it for a couple weeks was for a 1.6. it looked totally different. was in a hurry and it said fits 1.5. could it have fried because of that? worth buying a re-man of the one i got on it? cause there is no codes anymore and a kik said his grand prix, which i know is totally different, ran find till it got to op temp , then started kikin like mine is doing, and it was the cam sensor or crank, whichever is in the dizzy. thats the only thing i can think of doin.ive replaced everything.
