Default tranny problems, help!

Well on the way to work this morning, my car started acting up. The auto tranny was acting like it is "hunting gears" Especially when I was decelerating and especially between 3rd and 4th. It was acting like it would not go into 4th. ANy suggestions to what this might be?

start simple. Check the AT fluid level and condition. It should be a light pink. If it is brown/dirty/low change the Tranny fluid with Genuine Honda ATF z1 i think thats what its called now, they might have changed it. Get the honda stuff though.

I will go out and check it on my lunch break. That sounds about right. I was thinking that it might be something along those lines. I think it is about due for a tranny fluid change anyway. How the hell do you get the fluid in there anyway? Through the dipstick tube? Sorry it sounds dumb.

no worries. Yes, you fill it through the dipstick hole. AT fluid changes are due every 30,000 miles.

I think I am only like 1000 miles over on it. It started happening all of a sudden. Odd. I do drive the thing pretty hard though.

I checked the fluid about 6 weeks ago, a little brownish, but the level was fine. I will be checking it in about 20 min
