Default apexi ws2 on b20vtec NA?

got a custom 3 inch piping exhaust on built b20vtec all motor, no cat, only test pipe and resonator. right now i got a huge fartcan on it cuz the car i bought was turbo charged so its hella loud, im looking for something that will be alot quieter and still good performance and sounds nice. i'll be keeping the the 3 inch and test pipe and resonator. Im looking into the apexi ws2 muffler, i see that they now have 60mm,70mm and 80mm, and 80mm would be perfect size to bolt right up to my 3 inch pipings already. but will that be too loud? i know with a little bit more restriction its going to be alot quieter so i was thinking of going with the 70mm but how much would that affect power loss. i believe 70mm is about 2.75 inch and 80mm is 3 inch. which would you guys prefer? if the 80mm wont be loud then i will go with that. let me know what you guys think, or any other mufflers you guys would recommend.

You dont need 3" piping if you're all motor. Start with that.

WS2 is nice and quiet. Had one for a while before I got rid of the car. Now I have an RS*R ExMag and love it. Get one if you find one.

Fully built 2.2 stroked so I will keep the 3inch pipes. Never heard off that muffler I'll look into it but really leaning into ws2. So 80 mm or 70 mm? Does anyone have 80 mm ws2 with 3 inch pipings and test pipe on NA setup?

I did 243 whp on a WS2 Exhaust(full cat back) fully built b20vtec, check my build thread. 70 mm should be enough.

WRONG! Don't even argue. It's a proven fact 3" makes more power.

OP the WS2 universal muffler in the turbo app will be fine. Just run a couple resonators with it or it can sound a little tinny since it is a straight through big can.

I lose 8-10whp with my WS2 catback (2.25") so if you want it quiet you have to sacrafice. If you can take a little noise using the 3" will give you the best numbers.

One small correction...the WS2 is 60mm or 2.34". Still on the smallish side...3" for the most power. 2.34" or under for quiet. Choose which is more important to you.

I cant remember 100% for sure but I believe the 2.34 is OD of the pipe. Either way it's too small to maximize power.

thanks guys, i believe everysetup is different, some ppl lose more power than others, some gain more, i will still be making the 220+ mark which is my goal so im going to go with the 70mm ws2, i'll give dyno results for you guys too.

i wish some one made a resonated catback, just an entire catback system made off a giant resonator lol. i wonder how it would sound.

Mine is really quiet. My motor is louder than my exhaust.
