Default Best Swap to Make

I bought a 1994 civic from this low life person with a cracked b20z2 vtec. Im trying to figure out what would be my best option in swapping. Trying to save some money and use the b16 tranny and maybe use the b16 vtec head, also the ecu (I hate the electrical parts of cars).

I have 4 engines and want to know others opinions. Yes I have done research on these just cant pick the right one

What hp numbers are you looking for? What kinda work are you looking to do? How much are you looking to spend in total?

If you are trying to go cheap then i would go the f or h seires route especially if you hate wiring. I would just go the route of another b20v from what it is you said.

If you got a B20B you should put the B16 head on that block.Problem solved and you save money... unless you are thinking about going another route.

Go find yourself a solid D series stock swap and put the car back to stock. Sell me that B-series trans.

Go research each of those swaps ... theres an FAQ thread and a search button.

If you hate wiring, any motor newer than 95 will be off your list.

200 are somewhere in that area and slowly progress. I want a turbo when I save up for it. I went and talked to a guy down the road and he told me to go b18 or h series. Since I dont really have any money right now for anything so the drop and drive is best right now.

I researched the engines already, just cant decided. Theres downfalls and ups to each engine. The b20 for its nice torque but shitty cylinder walls. B18 all around good engine. I just dont know Ill prolly go b18

If you already have a B20v the cheapest route is going to be getting another B20 short block and swapping it out.

He said he wants to turbo when he gets the money. I'd say put the B18 in then. The B20 has weaker cylinder walls. The H and F series would make some awesome power boosted, but they are not a drop in swap, you need a $750 adapter plate and some other stuff. The H23 VTEC would be like 200hp stock.

Actually the prices for the engines were about the same. I decided to go the b18b route and later on Ill throw that b16 vtec head on it and turbo it.
