Default tranny question

i bought a h23a transmission and the code on the bar code is s2a4 and I thought h23a is m2a4 i think i got ripped off. Anyone know i think the s2a4 is probably and accord tranny. I dont think it will make a huge difference and its still a new tranny but i need to know

M2A4 trans are from the JDM H22A engines. What type of H23 are we talking about here? JDM H23A VTEC blue top or the regular H23A1 Non VTEC?

H23 will have M2S4. Period. What you have is indeed an Accord tranny

i think its for the non VTEC h23 it said it was out of the 92-96 non VTEC prelude i just want to make sure im not super dissapointed if its the accord tranny just trying to find out

That is the 2.2CL tranny and a very nice one you have IMO. Similar to overall feel of the H23, that trans has a higher final than the Accord tranny's - it is similar to the Accord wagon tranny but a little more aggressive gear ratios.

it will go into my f22b1 no problem right? and i got a brand to act h23a clutch kit this will also fit just fine right?

Yes and yes (as said above) - depending on the clutch kit you have you may want to consider getting a new (they are cheap) replacement flywheel or a fresh lightened unit.

I run a 8lb Fidanza with an Exedy replacement and its great for daily (my wife drives it actually).

its a ACT street performance clutch kit bleieve it comes with flywheel

STAY AWAY from the "Light" aluminum flywheels with removable starter ring gears and steel friction surface inserts. BUY A 1 PIECE FLYWHEEL
