Default help with wastegate pipe

my manifold is finally built, now i've placed it in the car and am getting ready to fab up the elbow for the wastegate placement, and my question is, what process do any of you go through to cut the contours of the merge collector into the piece you are welding to it? i have searched and can't find any answers. this link shows you the collector i used

i'm trying to stay in the center of one of the sides, so i'll need the contour of two of the pipes as they join

145 views and nobody has an answer??? well, i got a hold of Vibrant yesterday and asked them what angle they cut their merge collectors at, so i'm going to put that into my CAD program and try make a template for the cut on the elbow, but even then i still don't know how to cut it? i suppose a dremel would work, but that would take forever. might have to buy a hole saw at just under the O.D. (prob 1.75 or 1.875) and then trim out the excess material

okay, new thought, what would be the downside to coming off of one of pipes in the collector instead of where they butt together? its still purging from where they all merge together, but only welded onto one of the pipes. would this be problematic and only cause a decrease in the pressure of the particular cylinder, or would it still serve the same purpose as if i had welded it to where they butt together?

pics for reference

welded to the joint

welded to a single pipe on the collector

just make sure you have it where the exhuast doesnt have to turn a 90 degree bend to enter the WG and either cnfiguration will be fine. See the tear drop that Full Race added to the WG in your link you posted. That is to mitigate the boost creep and so the exhuast path doesnt turn a hard 90 all at once. Both designs are at the collector near about.

Probably will have a hard time controlling boost off one runner under certain condtions ( ie: size of turbo, amount of boost desired)
