Vibrant exhaust sticking out further when hot?
About 3 weeks ago I installed a Vibrant Streetpower catback on my '11 Si coupe. I've noticed that when it's hot after driving, especially after hammering, my exhaust sticks about a good 1.5" out the back more so than when it's cold. I keep looking and thinking my mind is playing with me but it's definitely doing it because I got home today (I had a first gear WOT just a few miles before getting home to avoid getting rear ended) and could definitely notice it sticking out much more. The Vibrant engraving on the top of the exhaust tip was easily seen when standing close up on the rear of the car not to mention you could just plain see it sticking out further. I just checked it again since it's been cooling down past 4 hours and sure enough it's tucked back under the bumper for the most part and the Vibrant engraving isn't easily seen and now sits "flush".
Any ideas? Never heard of this before. Could it be the rear engine mount? I thought that was only an issue with running a race header?

lol well I know that simple knowledge but don't think it would expand THAT much because I'm talking about a big noticeable difference...
Short exhaust system+ thin metal+ extreme heat= metal expansion. If you don't like it have the muffler shop cut out an inch or two of the mid-pipe.
BTW: Watch out for that muffler when getting stuff out of the trunk. I have a couple of nasty half circles on my leg from mine.
