I found a clean 2002 with 27,634 miles but has had three owners already. Clean carfax, just that many owners bothers me.

 

i absolutely hate these threads...are you really going to base spending your money on a car based on what people on the internet tell you? if you want the car, buy it..if the amount of owners bothers you, dont buy it...its that simple...we(the people on the forum) do not know what kind of condition the car is in because we cant see it and we dont know the details...its your decision...and if you cant make that decision on your own and youre going to leave it up to what complete strangers on the internet tell you, you shouldnt be spending money on anything

 

No, I'm not going to base if I buy it or not based off Honda-Tech. Just looking for advice on why there would be so many owners. This would be car 22 for me and my second S, never bought something with more than two, was thinking something is up and the dealer just isn't saying.

 

Plenty of people buy these as toys and they sit. With the economy the way it is, toys tend to be the first thing to go. 3 Owners does not sound too high for a 10 year old car. Make sure nothing is fishy about the carfax and look over the car well and test drive it...then use your best judgement to make a decision.

I am the 4th owner of my S2k. Compression was all good and had 43K for an MY00. Drive it and do a check up on it.

You're on car 22 and **** about too many owners? How long do you keep a car? I know I'm bad about keeping one 6 months to a year and selling it. It doesn't matter if it had 1 owner or 10. Who's to say the 1 owner wasn't shady and drove it like crap. Who's to say the 10 owners didn't baby it. Look it over. Inspect it well. Test drive it well. Decide if it's for you.

 

I passed, bought a new daily instead of another track toy.

 

I am looking for one and will pay to have it checked over by an expert, I think that way if I do part with my hard earned cash, I will feel more relaxed.
