I've got a '92 Civic, and I've been having an intermittent CEL light for close to a year now... Every time I check it, I get a code 6 - the ECT sensor. I have yet to find any rhyme or reason behind when I do or don't get the light, and IF the light comes on, I can pull over, turn the car off and restart with no light, and it stays off for the rest of my drive. I've checked all of the related wires I can identify simply by looking, and I don't see anything loose, frayed, etc.

The good news is I haven't noticed any performance issues, so I'm not too concerned about it, but my wife always freaks out when the light comes on... So I'd like to get it solved so that I can give her some piece of mind (read - so I don't have to listen to her freak out).

Forgot to mention that I have disconnected the sensor and jumped it with a wire and the relay/fan kick on.
