installing koni yellows on an EP3
So I have a 2002 EP3 on which I currently have tokico blue shocks in the front. I am gonna replace them with koni yellows but since they come only as a the shock part I wanna know if they will work with the current tokicos or will I have to acquire some stock shocks before I go through with this process?
if you guys are not sure what I am talking about here is a link that shows koni yellow installation on to an EP3.

Are you asking if your springs will be compatible with the new Konis? If you replace the old struts with new ones, you won't need to keep anything from the Tokico's. WTF are you saying? lol
Also don't use an impact to torque down the top hats on the strut. Do it by hand, per Mustclime.

The Koni's are inserts design to be used with OEM shock housing. Not sure if the Tokico have the same inner dimension. Best bet is to find some blown EP3 shock for dirt cheap and resell you Tokico(assuming they're still good).
Modifying the struts is not hard, but it is very messy. Make sure you have lots of towels and space. If you are not in a big hurry, I have a 2002 RSX-Type S that has modified that will be going back to stock. If you are interested in purchasing them (if they are the asame) and saving yourself the trouble text me: 6784682240
X2 and also make sure you order the right ones for the front because there are two versions for the ep3.One is the 50mm OD housing and the other is 55mm.
the tokicos are going bad and I do not have the stock shocks any more so I was just thinking about using them instead but I wanna make sure that it would work before I take them apart and then being left without the ability to use my car while I source the correct parts.

We both need to verify if they are the same by looking at the part numbers, on someplace like HondaParts.com before money is exchanged.
I would do an alighnment also. You might was to get some crushbolts so that you can make the camber a little more agressive. From -.75 to -1.5 degrees would help the front end bite a little more.
