I have a b16 that needs rebuilding i want to because i know it will be done right but i only have 1500 to spend on it for a rebuild. my other option is to buy a long block and drop it in. Do you think i will have enough to rebuild the block? i need new rings, bearings, and other parts that are needed to rebuild it. also i need to get them cleaned and resurfaced. this will be my fist time rebuilding an engine. i would like to make more horsepower than the average b16 but im not sure i have enough. maybe like 250-300hp....idk but i do know i had about 165 hp..ANY HELP PLEASE!

 

You won't be able to make even 200hp on a B16 with $1,500.

 

haha ok thats out of the picture. i guess after looking around im gonna buy a long block.. instead.
