CA 1991 Accord Coupe EX. CLEAN.
What's up HT.
I've got one of my favorite DDs I have ever had up for sale.
Let me tell a little bit of the story of how this car came to be:
This car was handed down by the original owner to his little brother that just graduated UCI with a mechanic engr. degree. He recently got a Genesis 2.0T coupe that hes been modding and was keeping this as a DD in the garage right next to it. Hes been so busy with work and has been having so much fun with his genesis that he didn't even get to drive this anymore even though he enjoyed to, he just started it up once a week to blow the cobbwebs out of it.
The family I bought this car from seemed to be quite wealthy, his dad came and picked him up in a new TT V8 5 series and I saw his genesis as well that was really well done, stanced on some deep dish staggered wheels.
So here is the low down:
1991 Honda Accord Coupe EX.
Basically the model with all the bells and whistles. Leather, factory lips ALL the way around (clean), sunroof, pw/pl, ps, cruise, etc.
Clean title.
Never been in any type of significant accident, car is very straight.
Paint is AMAZING for a car this age...It has seen many garaged days and nights.
Interior is 9.5/10 except for the front seats of course (which do have covers installed)
193.55k miles on car, 20k miles on rebuild.
Great DD, good on MPG and is always very very close to the C when it comes to engine temp, even with the a/c blasting away.
At 175k miles the owner decided to keep the car for quite a bit longer so he rebuilt the motor for it to be strong and reliable, and some other light mods to make the car solid and fun to drive.
I do have receipts of all this work.
Motor was all taken apart and the block was honed and decked, all new bearings (main bearing rod bearing), piston and piston ring set, head was machined, all new gaskets including head gasket etc, new water pump, new oil pump, new timing belt.
Most of these parts were Honda OEM.
The work was done at Mastertek in Garden Grove.
Not only does this car run great and shift like butter, THIS THING FREAKING HANDLES LIKE ITS ON RAILS. I came from having both a LS1 6 speed camaro and a 2007 CBR600RR to this and I have so much damn fun.
There is literally virtually NO body roll, it weirds me the hell out how a car like this can feel so damn solid and nimble in the corners...a lot of my friends fight to drive this car (and most of them have modded cars, I got a GT35R sitting in my house that's my room mates, got a friend with a 1,000+ hp built lq camaro, modded evos sti etc. and I have driven most of these cars)
I really really wanted to put a K20 in this car because it's so damn clean and handles like its on rails but I recently found out I have epilipsey after having a seizure one morning at work. It's a birth defect that I have that didn't rear it's head until 25 years later in my life. All will be fine as long as I take my prescription, my case is very rare and light fourtanetly.
Why i'm selling: Because of this my license is temporarily revoked for an unknown time (even though my doctor has cleared my condition as stable, I get an update from the DMV in 2-4 weeks) but the state does not want to take a chance (so they dont get sued) so I end up driving the car anyways....and its just not a good situation to be in. I recently got pulled over and the cop did let me drive home....but I don't want to deal with any consequences for just driving my car.
If you'd like to see it I do have a lot of paperwork showing the medical situation that I am in.
Aftermarket mods:
Skunk 2 Coilovers (I forgot the exact name of them I have to look, they are in good condition and make the car handle extremely well)
18 inch Sport Max wheels. Tires have good tread.
Nice Alpine headunit.
MB Quartz 6x9s and tweeters.
Some sort of aftermarket alarm.
Clean shift boot and ****.
There are some tiny issues with the car:
1. IAVC needs to be replaced or cleaned out or something, its not very expensive but you can easily avoid the issue by giving the car a tiny bit of gas like the IAVC would naturally do and in a minute or less the car will get to somewhat operating temparture and the IAVC issue disappears. I would naturally get it fixed and so would the previous owner but its a simple thing to do really. And once you do it that morning or whatever the car is almost always good for the rest of the day and idles perfectly fine.
2. Gas gauge doesn't work. I use my brain instead, lol.
3. Car needs the EGR cleaned to pass smog, I have paid for registration, temp reg, and the smog but I have been thinking about kswap way too much. Doesnt matter at all to someone who wants to pull the F23 out. I have all the paper work and smog results, and of course the smog is free till it passes and I have that as well. It passed everything but one area in smog which the tech almost guaranteed was the EGR.
4. There is a piece of trim from the top of the rear window that needs new adhesive, it is in perfect condition like the rest of the chrome trim. And there's only 1 key for the car.
I could only get pictures with the phone on my camera for now but I will definetly take pictures as soon as I can with a digicam to give the car justice. And as soon as the sun comes out again I will take a shot under the hood.

Asking price: $2500.
Please no low balling. I am asking a fair price for all the work that has been done to the car and the condition that it is in.

And you can call or visit my mechanic and ask him about the car. He will tell you how good of a car it is for what it is. He is right on tustin and fourth street by the 55 at the shell and has been working on cars professionally for decades. I took the car to him before I bought it and made sure it was good.
