Can I use non-cali O2 sensor in place of cali O2 sensor??
Hey guys,
Sorry I don't post on here much. My wife drives a 2005 Accord and I occasionally look here for answers.
Check engine light is saying a bad downstream O2 sensor. It's cali emissions and the dang thing is $130 bucks. Does anybody know if a non-cali sensor will work?? It's about half the price of the cali sensor.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Sorry ms. Should have been more clear. Non meaning no California emissions. I thought all cars have this these days but there is an option with sensors. With or without Cali emissions. Will it matter if I use one for "without Cali emissions"??
I still think they are all the same. the only difference would probably be a "universal" O2 sensor. Stay away from those, there is no such thing, make sure to buy the model specific sensor you are after.
They are all the same but deff don't use a universal. Stock one is made to plug and play and universal you will find yourself cutting and splicing most likely.
