96 Si h22a4 swap, help please!
Alrighty, I've already searched the forums, looked through every possible thread that involves the words "h22a4" and "96 prelude" and cannot find the answer... so don't say "use search bar noob" because I already have, and quite frankly, you could just put an input in rather than sound like every other jerk I've tried asking already...
I've got a killer deal on an h22a4 out of a 99 prelude. I've got all the information I need for the swap, only problem is, the info is for a 95 odbI prelude. I know that the 96 is odbII(a).
Originally, I wanted to use a p28 ecu, the h22a4, an h23a1 dizzy, and hondata.
Now, I noticed on hondata's website, they said that their hondata chips are compatible with the p28, but designed to run NON-vtec... it'll still run vtec fine though wont it?
Ok so if I get the converter harness, and a p28 ecu, I can still use the h23a1 dizzy correct? and the ecu, with the converter, will now be compatible with the h22a4 odbII motor, correct?
I understand I'm new to Honda-Tech and somewhat new to the Honda game period, but everyone has to start somewhere right? So if you could answer the questions, assuming you've got the answer, rather than calling me a noob, it'd be greatly, greatly, appreciated. If any of the info I have stated is wrong, and you're POSITIVE you have the correction, please feel free to correct me, or if you've got any info on what type of alternative I should use and still have the same end result I'm looking for, that'd be great too.
Thanks in advance.
