newbie getting into auto x, advise on spring rates
hey everyone so next season im going to be doing more auto x, i went for my first time a couple of months back and im hooked, my suspension setup is
tein super streets
function7 lcas+end links
24mm asr sway bar
asr subframe brace
ingals rear camber kit
skunk2 front camber kit
15x8 pf01 with 205/50/15 star specs
willwood from brakes
eg rack with quife kit
i hate how soft my ss are, they did ok on the track but want something stiffer, what would you guys recommend? should i go stiffer in the back than in the front? 2 options for coils atm are amr and skunk2 pro-c, my main concern is what spring rates should i go with? i have my noob flame suit on

Drive for a FULL season. Then figure out what you'd like the car to do and what you don't want it to do right now. Then research how to make springs do those things.
ive been told this from my buddys who have been lapping for a while but after driving my brothers car with the pro-c it felt so much better with stiffer springs, felt like i knew the car better and felt more confident
You should of read all you can read before asking the same question all noobs ask.
You are a prime victim for a flaming for not reading.
We generally dont get into telling noobs what set up to use because not every set up is right for you.

dont use stiffer springs only on one side or you will make the steering completle different. Only the full set. Why do you want to get a stiffer springs ?? Maybe you dont have to change them
The quality of AMR is so far beyond that of skunk2 it's laughable. If you're dead set on getting a new suspension setup give Andy@AMR a call or PM him on here. He will be able to help you out based off of what you tell him you want to do with the car.
However, I would also highly recommend driving the car as it sits(providing it has no mechanical issues) for a full season of auto-x. It will be more beneficial to you than you may think it is now.

You cant just change rates on shocks like teins, they were originally setup for the rates + or - a little.
If you have driven the hell out of the car and setup, look at a nice upgrade if you are going to continue and be serious.
I personally wouldn't choose AMR if I was going to upgrade from what you have.
AST
Koni Race/ GC
JRZ if you have funds
Im running Progress Series 1 with custom valving and 800f/1100r rates, I have been happy with them for the money but they are not in the same league as the ones I mentioned.
AST most likely will be my next upgrade.
The rates will be up to you, others have said you should search harder and they are correct. I dont flame much and pull the search card but this area of the site is not 20,000 topics deep to where you cant find anything and has a lot of very good contributors.
There was a good thread about suspension just recently... good luck.

Step 1:
Realize that advise is a verb and advice is a noun. We can give advice, not advise. I'm usually not the grammar police, but this one and weight/weigh drive me nuts for some reason.
Step 2:
Drive the car just the way it is.
Step 3:
Once you figure out if Autocross is for you, then you can figure out how serious you want to be. Then decide if the car you have is the one you want to be serious about. THEN spend money.
Hundreds of people have done it the other way around, spending a ton of money, showing up to an event, getting their *** handed to them by someone in a Mini, and never autocross again. In a way, I think it's easier to show up with a car that doesn't have a chance in hell AND YOU KNOW IT. In this manner, your ego (and face it, most of us have an ego that bruises easier than an over-ripe mango) can't be harmed because you already have a built in excuse. After a while you get good and start beating those guys that spent a ton of money and you realize for yourself that the driver is more important than the car.
