Have a friend that is inquiring about an older gen GSR.
1. Do they accept most of the bolt on mods from the B16/18 since it is a B series?
2. Any unique features that makes the car hard to work with?
3. Problem areas?
4. Stock times. I'm guessing they are capable of high 15's.
5. How do they compare with current GSR's in terms of overall performance for price?

They are awesome, Smaller engine pushing a little more weight in the stock trim, But I love my 1992 #230 GS-R... as a matter of fact I am going to buy another one, I met a guy at the car wash that has one in mint condition all original. The original B17's had a recall on the distributor assembly but no biggie. It is hard to find parts but they are avalible and other b series stuff fit fine. Stock they are low 15's with a good driver 0-60 times around 7sec flat. that's all stock of course. Just be sure to not buy a bunch of crap that is just out there that people try to SELL... I find the body layout is better for faster tracks/turns than the 3rd gen. but the more compact 3rd gen is better for tight stuff. I have mine built with no cosmetic goodies, all performance related items, and the car still looks great. Things like the FAL window set, big brake kit, Koni yellows, fluidyn radiator are good items to get, and of course strip down the interior.

I love mine! A lot of people don't even know they exist. They are surprised to hear the VTEC sound coming from a 2nd gen integra. Most people ask me if I got an engine swap, and I'm like no.. that's stock and they're amazed. It's mostly the 2nd gen rice boys that pull up beside me to race and they're shocked when my VTEC kicks in and they're left in the dust.
I love the gen 2s. The b17, from my experiences have been bad ***. My friend has one and took it on the dyno a while back with 140k on it and put down 150whp with just jus a aem cai and open exhuast. Ive seen him run 14.8 with just a little weight reduction.
heres another one of my friends with a gen 2.

They are awesome, I heard of a 2nd Gen Integra with intake only running a 15.0 but when I first ran mine with an Intake only I ran a 15.5 with no traction, so who knows what I could of run with traction. I am the proud owner of 2...

92-93 GSR's also have the same gear ratios as an ITR without the LSD. Very awesome!! I stripped all the interior behind the front seat, removed AC/heating systems, ABS, PS, and a lot more staff. My car probably weighs about 2300 lbs. From outside it looks competly stock. I love it! The car is very fast! I am taking it to the track very soon. I expect 14.7 sec in the 1/4 mile.
