Does This look like an oil restrictor or no?
im talking about the size of the oil inlet, .0065 or something is the size of the restrictor for these turbos but this might just be max pressure and harm the seals. I cant measure it but im going to try with a drill bit and use its size to figure it out maybe?
I was hoping someone with a restrictor know what its inlet size looks like and if a wd40 sprayer fits in it like mine does.
this is the only application ive seen its hard to tell. thx
personally I think it is not one, and ill need one. on google images the hole seems pretty tiny on them

Unless you are over 85-100psi in oil pressure at anytime, it will do more harm than food. Take off first, get it all together, then see if it's needed.

^ the hole in that ebay one looks big. the tooth pick comment I could easily get one in this one.
theshodan, you are saying to finish my build and get it rolling? how could I tell if no restrictor or whats there now is better off than buying the piece?
ill have an oil pressure gauge hoooked up pretty soon.... I dont want to harm the seals on this turbo its new!

what hes saying is take it off and see the other side, find out if one is needed or not for your specific setup, i use one, i use a .08 restrictor but if u restrict the oil going to your turbo and the restrictor is not needed u will do more harm than good. give us some more info on your turbo and some more pics and we can bbetter help you.
ok so that is not a restrictor, the obx one thats gold that i showed u first will screw onto that fitting and the your line will screw on to it. if u have a chinese (ebay) turbo u most definately need a restrictor dont even try to start it without one you WILL blow the seals. these turbos are designed for less than 10 psi oil pressure and hondas can put out as high as 100 psi. i use a .08 on mine but a .065 works too, there is another thread called "james bond smoke" u can read about his blown turbo seals if u like. the part is only 10 bucks so def get one and all will be well. just make sure u buy it with the right threads npt or whatever yours is i cant tell.
i just thought of something, i actually put my restrictor off a tee near the back of the block so someone could have put one where your oil feed is coming from, unless u did the install yourself that is.
hahaha well I guess this is a tough one the cars been ran on this on several times, today even while I bled the coolant. still mint.
is that ebay one a fair price then? its a tough find locally

10 bucks man the problem is waiting for the shipping if u need to drive it, is it your DD. u can also take a look down into the turbo there may be something threaded into your oil feed with a philips head and a little hole, if u bought the kit honda specific sometimes they throw one in there for you, prolly cuz ppl keep installin them and blowin the seals. its entirely possible to have one somewhere in there like i said it could be anywhere from the back of the block all the way to in the turbo but a second one won't hurt if u wanna be sure. if you have been driving it and hitting boost and stuff id say there is one in there somewhere.
im not risking it, its not a daily car by any means it sits in my garage 4-5 months of the year and since being boosted its never actually built any boost.
once thats in all I need is a resistorbox and a tune.
