I've heard that Del Sols are known for their door handles breaking, so when my doors were frozen shut i was very careful not to pull hard trying to open them yet somehow I still ended up breaking something... My exterior door handle no longer opens my door, it has to be opened from the inside. (what a pain)
Has this happened to anyone else? What part techincally broke? Is it easily fixed? I've theorized that maybe the pulley just slipped off or broke...

Can anyone give me any information or advice on how to fix this issue?

Happen to me before,
Myn was a plastic clip that hold a bar onto the door handle itself
I just went to a junk yard and got one off an older civic
Just take ur inside door cover off, see if there's a little bar hanging in the left corner

 

Oversimplified explanation.
Open door. Remove door panel. Check for broken parts. Replace with new.
