Alright so my AC does not work on my car it is a 96 accord ex the f22b1. I want to remove my AC i know the belt also runs the alternator so in order to remove my AC what do i need to do. Also what hoses can all be removed with the removal of the AC

 

once you have the gas relieved safely by a shop into a safe container you go to the auto parts store and find a alternator belt for your car without ac. very simple. they look up your make model year and then select the without ac option. then you can remove anything that runs from the compressor including the compressor itself

 

Alright i wanna do this at home what do i need to do to remove gas can i run tell its nearly empty and then drain?

 

This is the "gas" inside the AC system, not the fuel for the engine.

 

well its illegal to release the refrigerant into the atmosphere but if you must just use an adjustable wrench to loosen any connection on the ac line then go inside and watch an episode of family guy while it drains. dont breath the refrigerant in.

once again this is illegal to do it this way. the proper way is to take it to a shop and have them remove the gas then take it home and remove the rest
