Wait, you can shift into all other gears but not neutral?????

Is neutral not between all the other gears, do you not have to go into "neutral" to get from one gear to another? 94

my input shaft ball bearing was stuck in the transmission housing. i guess i seated the housing down to much.. so of course when i tried to get it out it fell apart.. all the ***** came out and the outter ring of the bearing is still stuck in the housing.. so we are waiting on a new ball bearing for the transmission. so in the mean time we are doing an engine swap in a 90 OBD0 ACura integra ls. Do you know if you can use an automatic cylinder and crank case on a manual transmission?

Not sure I understand, are you asking if you can install an automatic transmission on an engine that had a manual transmission, if so, yes. 94

Never mind about the auto to manual.. i got that figured out.. NOW..what im really having trouble with is getting the tranny back together.. took it apart because antifreeze got into it.. dont ask me how.. i answered someones question they wanted to know how.. so i told them .. and they told me i was wrong.. so whatever.. It just happened. well i cleaned that out was told it only affects automatic transmissions.. not manual.. so im good to go. well im putting the tranny back together.. by the way its a YS1 tranny in a 1992 acura Integra GS-R VTEC.. I've come to a complete and utter CONFUSION!! Im on the torque down stage of the gear box casing and the counter shaft keeps binding up against the main shaft. I've been working on this for days.. and each day it seems to get a little better.. like i can turn the countershaft and it turns the differential but only for a little bit.. then just like that everything is bound together again and nothing moves. I've tried everything.. i've tried loosening the bolts, i've tried hitting it with a rubber mallet (lightly of course), i've tried turning it upside down.. giving it a shake and i've read pretty much every thread and post and "HOW TO" manual on rebuilding a manual transmission and all that is great.. but only for a short period of time. Im not sure what else to do.. So if anyone has any suggestions on what i might have missed.. or something i haven't tried yet please let me know. I would really like to get my TEG going soon... its been to long. much appreciated..

my apologies. that was a bit rude.
TBH, my only suggestion here would be to take it back apart and see where you went wrong. if you have detailed instructions on hand, you should be able to find the culprit

I am guessing something may be bent.

I had a problem something like that, I had pulled apart my LS transmission to install an LSD and when I was putting it together each time I started tightening the bolts for the case the transmission would bind up, messed with it for the longest time and then just got pissed off and started torquing down the bolts, DOH!!! that "CRACK" sound was the case breaking, the main shaft was not lining up and "pooped" the end of the case, lucky I had a GS-R tranny and I installed the LSD in it and found it was a bit of a pain getting the shaft to line up, once I did, there was no problem, still have it in the car 8 year later.94
