Default 94 Sol Vtec radiator fan not working

I've checked my radiator fuse and it was good so i'm guessing its the actual fan? Is there any common issue of why it stopped working? Also could anyone suggest a good radiator fan? Since i'm going to buy a new one i might as well buy the best there is.

Have you tried jumping the radiator fan switch on the thermostat housing? Its the round plug, take a paperclip and connect the two terminals with the car on and see if the fan cuts on. If it doesn't you probably have a bad motor. If it cuts on when you do this you have a bad fan switch.

that first^

FAL would be my top choice.

is this just a stock car that you DD?
because in that case a cheap OEM one would be best.

The only way to know for sure if the motor is dead is to run some leads from the battery to the fan. If it works then you know it's either the switch (easily tested by the above method), a broken wire in the harness, or a short (which will blow a fuse, but depending on where the short is it may only blow when the fan switches on).

ok so I unplug the wire running from the fan? I've jumped an AC unit before but I can't remember. Sorry.

This car is my daily but I plan on building my engine this summer so if itd be better for me to buya higher performance fan then now is the time to do it right?

This is for an Accord but its pretty similar (except the relay is in the fuse box for the fan) and the Civic has only one fan switch but testing is the same.
