RPM Problems after Alternator swap
So my car died from a bad alternator about a week ago and today i finally replaced it.
But Ive noticed the car is not running "normal"
First I had a few blown Fuses that had to be replaced also the Headlight went out as well
But the real problem imo is that The RPM needle is stuck at zero and will not respond to throttle inputs. But ive noticed that it works Perfectly fine
when the doors are Open?
What could be causing this ?
Also, after installing the Alternator the Battery warning light has Not Shut off.
Is this normal?

Sounds like a Bad ground.
and the battery light should go off when the alt. is working.
so you eather got a BAD alt or you didn't get it installed correctly
Recheck all the connections at the alt. and all your grounds.

ok so it stock and did the tach work befor the alt died?
if yes i'm sticking with bad grounding
also did you check all the fuses both under the dash and under the hood ones?
