You really should NOT build for all-motor with boost as the end goal. With the higher compression you cannot boost as much as you would with a lower compression engine, you may even have to run higher grade fuel AND your tune had better be SPOT ON. And with a D-series it's pretty much a waste of a lot of money.

Did you say FMU? If you're going to advise him then do it right and at least try to take it seriously. When people are honestly looking for help you don't ridicule. Now when they're just dicking around, then go for it.

No Ebay kits. Talk about them anymore and you'll be on your own. GoAutoworks make a good solid kit. YOu won't turbo a car with only a grand so start saving up. YOu will still need to get it tuned which will need engine management, upgraded fuel system and tune time and an upgraded clutch ON TOP of the turbo kit.

Just to let you know. You could probably get an N/A D-series up to about 140ish horsepower pretty easily but the 150hp barrier is where it starts getting expensive.

If you hell bent on a eBay turbo search for the Godspeed turbo kit on eBay. It's like $680 then you can run like 4-6 psi afterwards Build it up as time goes with further QUALITY parts. And get hondata s300 with a p28, or at very least a chipped p28 ecu

Noob here... but I have been playing with cars for some time now... I too built a d16y8 on a 92 civic hatch... High Compression Pistons from a shop in NC... Forget the name... I had a crower cam if I'm not mistaken a port/polish job/3 angle valve job, bigger fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, clutch,I/E/H, and its was hella fun! And different... but I'll be honest with you for the money... i would've just swapped a b16... but hey its your money! Have fun and best of luck! Keep us posted!
