two problems: b18c1, normal idle as soon as i start the car and then idles at 2k from
problem two: temp gauge is normal at a stop but as soon as i start moving it starts jumping from cold to like 1/4 up very speratically
My guess is either a bad gauge cluster or a short in the coolant temperature sensor wire. Seems like the gauge cluster.
i found its a bad wire connection for the gauge fluctuation but i cant figure out the high idle
i dont have any vacuum leaks, IM gasket is fine i just dont know...

ha yea i just figured out that the motor my friend sold me was a 97 not a 95 like he said so it has no FITV but yea ill try that next
Trending Topics
i thought the FITV was discarded after 95' cause if you think about it its just kinda pointless but w.e. i only have one hole inside my tb and no FIT that would be under it
We are referring to the Intake Air Control Valve, which is on the back of the intake manifold. The Fast Idle Thermo Valve that you are referring to is underneath the throttle body.
yes i obviously have an iacv but 96' on up dont have a fitv theres nothing under the throttle body and one hole inside the throttle body
So clean your IACV and let us know how it idles. I don't know why you even mentioned the FITV.
yea i just did this morning its ****ing throwing a check engine light now and still same problem idling at about 2k i thinks its just trashed, i live in florida so i just unplugged the sensor till i get the new its freaken $170 bucks for a new one
no clue the check engine light only comes on when your like 1.3 times the allowed emissions so yea ill pull the code and by adjusting the **** do you mean the allen key on the side?
you car is odb2 .... your check engine light comes on if your dam seatbelt aint on ...(that was a joke) there is a spring loaded valve in there i thought it was adjustable ...but i might be wrong
well im sure its going to be P1508 IAC Valve Circuit Failure or P1509 IAC Valve Circuit Failure but ill get it pulled but if thats it i just need a new one
