Default 99 civic with b18a1 block and b16 internals

I stumbled across this guy on cardomain that has a 99 civic with a b18a1 block, b16b internal power train, the b18c1 head. It intrigues me because of the claimed 11.8:1 compression and claims of revving up way past 9000rpm...

Has anyone ever heard of this kind of setup and does it really make the claims that this dude is claiming.

here's his link- I searched on here figuring if he built this engine maybe he would be around on honda-tech but i found nothing.

In the block, only the pistons would fit. I don't think stock rod bols woulod hold up to 9000rpm very well over time

rods are way too short to be in a b18(any) block without having insane low compression. I am skeptical as to whether or not it would run. Are you looking to build something, or just looking for ammo in an arguement?

B16b uses a b18c block, rods would work, just be a poor man's ctr. Although i dont know why you would destroke it with b16c rods/pisons. If it had ls crank and rods and b16b pistons with gsr head compression would be like 13:1. So if he drives it on pump gas ot leads me to believe it has b16b rods ad crank.

i was looking for a frankenstein engine idea and this caught my eye...

on his cardomain profile he claims its a b18a1 block, b18c1 head with b16b crank, pistons, rods...uograded arp studs and head bolts.

I was just curious if anyone has ever seen such a combination because i haven't seen one on the street yet and if it revs as high as he claims there is potential for some serious powerband. I'm really just looking for max power in an all motor build. forced induction just isn't my thing and i'm not big on the b16 builds that everyone is doing but b16 internals with the bigger block sounds unique.

He's basically built a crappier b16b. No oil squirters, no girdle. B16b has same stroke as b16a but the rods are longer than the b16a/b18. If i was going to spend the $ on a poor ctr, I'd at least get a vtec block for the squirters and girdle and not have to use a ls/vtec kit.
