your redline is dependant on your ecu not your gauge cluster

the redline is not ECU dependent. The visual redline is where the tach turns red, obviously.

That being said, sorry. Don't know if there is a difference in redlines.

My HF cluser has a redline of like 5000 and I shift at 7000 all day long.

Musk-Are your gear ratios really long???
It would take me a long *** time to get to 7000 rpm in my HF.
Or is it just my car?

Dx's redline @ 6600
Si's redline @ 7200 but for some reasons, all of the PM6's i know they redline @ 6800

When the ECU takes charge, it's called the Revlimiter!

The PM6(CRX Si, 90-91) ECU cuts off the fuel at 7500 rpms. I just tested this out yesterday with my Z6/Y8 motor!

I'm still using the old PM6 and I haven't hooked up the vtec just yet. My motor screamed like nothing else, but it handled the rpms all the way to 7500 easily.

I have that problem CrX_SiR was talking about.
It takes me awhile to get to 7000 rpm.
Will it mess up my engine over time, If I do it a lot?
I've never tried it.
The highest I ever gotten was 6200 rpm.
