Lost key 99 civic coupe em1 need info!!
Right ok.... ive lost my only key i ever had when i bought my car. The car is a civic coupe with a b16a2 and running an obd2b ecu. I didnt get the red key when i bought the car so im basically sitting keyless. read a lot about what sorta i need to do but does anyone know for definate?
Will i need everything.... as in ignition barrell, key, immboliser box, locks and ecu? or can i just get a few of these things from same car to make compatible?
Does anyone know if i will need a whole new ecu for the car......or just ignition ecu and key and barrell?
Any help wud be great

I just recently bought a used em1 and went to the honda dealership because I didnt get the original keys. They said they'd have no problem re cutting keys for that vehicle since theres no chip in the key.
99's don't have a immobilizer. Bring a title or proof of ownership plus an id to a honda dealer and they will be able to cut you a master key off the VIN.
Yeah, write down the VIN then bring proof of ownership & ID to the Honda dealer and they'll cut you a key. It's why I've kept my window VIN covered for years now, with the VIN & a "friend" at a dealership they have your key.
Now if you lost your only OEM alarm fob, that's when you're kind of screwed, but the dealer can help you out there too.

they cant take it if they dont have the streering wheel.. lol!!!! but um from wat you guys said. 99's do have immobolizers. mine does. that makes me think. hmmmm... strange..hm....
As far as USDM OBD2 ECU's, only the 2000-2001 integra ECU's have a built in immobilizer.
So no the 99-00 Si does not have an immobilizer whoever thinks it does they are wrong
