i was at a junkyard the other day to get a knuckle for my 90 CRX Si, cause mine is bent.
the knuckle came off of a clean white 91 civic sedan LX, then i just looked around the car to see if there was any other parts i could get off of it, and i liked the type of steering wheel it had, which was a 4-spoke design with 2 buttons on the lower area, and thought it would be nice to have on my CRX as a change in place of my stock one.
so that leads me to ask the question : Would a steering wheel from a 91 civic sedan LX fit onto a 90 CRX Si ???
if it does fit then i would hope that the steering wheel is the same diameter size as the CRX one, i would'nt want it any smaller, cause i'm so used to the way the stock size is that might feel odd to me.

It fits. They are both about 14.5"
I actually installed the cruise control, which means a there is a ring behind the wheel that connects to the buttons. I don't know if wheels without buttons have a ring back there. If you get this the wheel, don't forget the signal cam (looks like a small donut and cancels the turn signals).

Not true. If you use the cruise control parts it is a smaller piece, the cam on the car is too big and doesn't fit inside the control ring. I looked a long time to find one after I bought a 'complete' cruise setup.

zrickety is right. once you pull it off and look at it you will figure it out.
you can also use a wheel from an 88-91 prelude which I think looks better than both but it's really close to the wiper and blinker levers so you'll clip them with your fingers if you're not paying attention haha.

cool, thanks for the responses and info, good to know.
and zrickety, glad you posted a pic cause i was curious how it looked before deciding to put one on my car, and it looks real good to me.
it appears like it fits on the crx real good, but is there any little differences that you know about? like is the wheel positioned similar to the stock one so it comes out towards you the same distance? (like how far it goes out from back to front?),
just wanted to make sure so i know if its going to hit my knees or something . . .,
but on the other hand i would'nt want it too close to the dash either.
and is the part you grip your hands around the same thickness as the crx one?
or is it the same as crx how far you turn wheel to left or the right?
(sorry for asking so many questions, just thought i would ask since you might know, and i could know more about how it is.)
and EE2bitsk, i'll have to check out some pics to see how a steering wheel from an 88-91 Prelude looks on a CRX too, cause who knows? i might like that one even better? is the Prelude one the same diameter as the CRX wheel?
i like the stock 90 crx si wheel but just wanted to have a change of scenery, plus i have always liked the 4-spoke sort of steering wheel design cause it reminds me of a momo wheel,
it would be cool to have the Civic sedan wheel wrapped in leather too later on cause i hate that rubber-ish feel of a stock one, i have had a steering wheel cover made from a mesh sort of material on my stock CRX one for couple years and feels lot better than just rubber and i like how it makes it thicker to grip onto.

I'm pretty sure it sticks out the same amount, and I think the grip is the same thickness. The number of turns does not change. I really like it!
As noted, the prelude wheel will be further away and closer to the stalks. I really had no interest in that one.

heres the prelude one in my sedan...
I have the 4 spoke sedan wheel in my std hatch.Looks way better than the ghey boomerang wheel. You will have to use your contact ring from your stock wheel as the 4 spoke with cruise has a plug.Just transfer over your contact ring and be sue to ground the black wire otherwise your horn won't work. And don't forget the non SRS Jdm Type R wheels fits too,but they're like $150-$200.
the 4 spoke wheel does look nicer then the stock si or the std model just a quick question if you dont mind how do u take them off?
