What intake manifold would best suit a 84mm lsvtec with a ported gsr head?

oops. please forgive me! i neglected to remember that you had a gsr head and not a b16 head. although they do make an adapter plate to make the itr manifold fit on a gsr head. i just dont know if anyone has had any success with making power with it.
theres even a group of people who have had success modifying the stock gsr mani with butterflys. some type of CNC and port n polish work. but ether way i think your best bet will be to go with the skunk2 pro or the Performer X and port match it.

I heard the performer x chokes the engine above 8000 rpm on a 2.0 liter. Don't know if its true our not. Does anyone know where I can still get a aebs intake manifold?

You mean so it will do the same thing? Different manifolds have their attributes in different parts of the powerband. That's why you're getting seemingly conflicting answers. The engine displacement alone doesn't dictate which manifold you should get; the differences are based upon how the power you're looking for is delivered, and what the purpose of the car is Not just what rpm something goes to.

For example.

Longer runners on the plenum provide more midrange torque and power in the middle of the rpm range form 2500-7000rpms.

Types: Skunk2, Performer X, AEBS, King Motorsports Modified ITRs, etc.

Use: Midrange power, street, street/circuit, auto X , improved head packages, etc.

Short thick runners with a wide plenum provide more top end power at the higher rpm range of the powerband. Made for very large higher end setups from 4000-9500+ rpm ranges for NA or higher than 700whp for turbocharged applications.

Types: Golden Eagle, Magnus Motorsports, Edlebrock Victor X, Blueridge, AFI turbo, et

Use: Higher end power, aggressive turbo street, Street drag race, 61lbs/min + turbochargers etc.

So as to the question which is "best"? Answer: there is no "best".. only what's best for your needs and goals.

If you are looking to keep some bottom end power, stick with the GSR manifold.

There was a test before on manifolds and for 2L setups I believe the ported ITR manifold made the most. In your case you would need a Skunk2 that is ported but the money for that I'm sure there is a much better option.

I dont see anywhere in your post what your top end is, because my top end is 7200rpm on my 1.8l.

the only correct answer, there's no best as it depends on goals, setup and preference of powerband.
