hey guys, long time d-series.org member and i noticed i didnt get on here much so i figured id make a thread about my crx.

bought it around 3 years ago from a old lady in turlock, ca with 289k on it. body in great shape, all stock, even had the unmolested d15b6 with hf tranny in it that still ran fine. bought it for $1,100 bucks.

Did a engine swap back in 2010, bought the engine for $60 with unknown mileage/condition. had a spare si tranny sitting around and has been running good ever since. i put about 30k miles on it already, its my daily driver to work and back every other day, my finace uses it the other days of the week.

heres some more on the car about a year ago i was driving to work on the freeway and the stupid hood latch broke free and the hood smashed into my windshield, and dented the roof as well.


i also take this car every year into the mountains probably like10 or 15 times for hiking/camping/fishing trips into the sequioas. i always get funny looks driving the rex up there but its also funny blowing pass them going uphill lol

Nice rex. What are your plans for it?

 

plans for now are still daily driving it, needs new suspension and bushings bad. tires still have good tread on them been almost 3 years since i got them.

future plans are to non op it and get a 4dr car and make it a track car for me and my son to work on. but thatll be a while hah

man been forever since i posted on here, crx has gone over some changes

installed koni/ground control suspension with a ST rear sway bar, car needs new bushings and an alignment.

I also got my PIC full bushing kit just trying to square away some time to get them installed and then aligned.

oh and heres the new DD for now, gotta get the damn AC working lol

Is that a real CF hood, or just painted for lightness?

 

thank you, ya i made sure right when i got this car that i wasnt gonna sticker bomb it, camber or rice it out. i like the clean, stock body look with some nice wheels and good suspension. i always think keep it simple

no actually its just a black painted stock hood, when my hood latch broke my hood was basically fubar'd along with my windshield so i had to get my hands on one asap and this was the only one close for me to get and i just never painted it to match i actually like it black to offset the blue which is still the factory paint but it needs work.


i totally agree with you, i looked at about 10 crx's before i found this one. all of them were hacked up swaps, salvage titles or body was messed up. this one was clean all stock and has the full interior with the stock hf shitty seats lol
