My d4 blinks on my guage
Hey yall, i just put a dinan performance chip in my 95 integra ls automatic.. All of the sudden my d4 on my guage blinks like a turn signal after 5 mins of driving.. there's nothing wrong with my engine, it drives beautiful.. it just blinks.. when i turn it off then turn it back on, it stops blinking but when i start driving again, the d4 will blink.. Do u know what code this is? and who should i go to to fix this problem? the tranny place didn't know what the hell it was...
damn americans!!

Alright my guess is the chip is not programmed to work with an automatic, hence it doesn't know your transmission is there at all. Best thing you could do is jump the service connector with a clip, same way you find out what Check Engine Code you have, then when you put the car in the on position (don't start it) the D4 will blink out a code, long beep = 10, short = 1, 3 longs and 1 short would be a code 31. Remeber I'm talking about your D4 light NOT CEL light.
Do that and gimmie the code and we'll see whats up.
But like I said the chip is probably beat, never knew they made chips for autos, and it probably doesn't know you have a tranny. You could also try putting your stock ecu back and see if that rectifies the problem, that would be the easiest thing to do to see if its ******* it up, which most likely it is, im me when you pull the codes.

The a/t is shifted by a seaparate computer that controls the various solenoids and other stuff. On the g2 it is under the drivers side dash, has its own light for reading codes and evreything. The flashing light indicates that the computer has stored a trouble code, chck your shop manual for the exact location of the computer and code reading procedure. It might be something that affects driveability, might not. The s3 light on my friend's b16 auto swap flashes but does not affect driveability other than the s button on the shifter is inoperable.

You don't have to scream at me I know the TCM actually controlls the transmission, I'm not an idiot.
Anyway, My point was that whatever information this CHIP has on it does not SEE that any sort of transmission is there hence the code, I had the EXACT same problem he's having, mine turned out to be a wire bad from the MS speed sensor to the tcm was screwed, car drove fine but never engaged lock-up in 4th gear, and you can feel when it does that.

I don't understand what u mean by jumping the service connector with a clip. Exactly, how do I find the code on my own? Or is it best i take it to a tranny shop and let them figure it out cuz they have all their import gadgets.
Please help, I be redlining at 7.5k rpm twice a week..

Under the dash on the passenger side your looking for a piece of plastic that 2 wires goto, its usually inside this little holder thats green, take it out and you can stick a paper clip in the 2 holes then put the car in the on position. Thats the service connector.
Your car is not actually shifting at 7.5rpm trust me you don't realize how OFF the stock tach is, when I shift at 6900 (according to electronic readings from the AFC) my stock tach looks like I'm going into redline, but it really isen't, its shifting EXACTLY at redline, no more or less.
