Default 90 crx si

HOws it going people, just got me my first si. Runs clean but plugs indicate its running lean. No rpm play with carb cleaner around the manifold, any ideas? And does any one have a d16 iac? i need one mine is not working properly. Oh and cleaning up the engine bay(battery relocation, emission ect.) Any advise and tips would greatly be appreciated
thanks!

If the car is running fine id suggest changing the fuel filter and get an injector cleaner of some sort, I prefer the Lucas stuff from autozone. While your there grab some simple green, it will do wonders for dirty engine bays. You can either pull out your iacv and clean it with carb/brake cleaner or get one from the jy but 60% of the time it works everytime after a good cleaning. As far as battery relocation goes I have no suggestions since I don't believe in relocating them unless it's serves a purpose. Emissions? Don't have em so no input..

^Agreed. Switch out that fuel filter (you might want to do the full tune-up if you don't know when the last one was done), and run something through for the fuel injectors. I've never had any trouble with Sea Foam, but alot of guys hate it, so look it up first.

will do that full tune up StreetsideStig, and actually doing a head gasket change as well. Just to make sure it will last me a while, the D15b that is. I actually really want to try that sea foam, seen it on youtube and really want to clean that combustion camber for that carbon build up. Any tips on emission removal? Ill look it up but will make it easy if you know it on top of your head lol

Cheers and im off to remove my head to take it to the machine shop tomorrow morning....
BUT first its off to the store to get a case to help me with the job

For the next year.. at least that if i can wait, just this because it my daily driver. I should of took a pick of it last saturday when i got so everyone could see the MAJOR difference. I was just gonna do head gasket but one thing lead to another and here i am. Maybe in the future and b18c or b20 hybrid. I was looking for an hf but drove this and thought might as well have a lil fun while saving gas so i got it. lol

Looks good! I would have recommended the Purple Power up front. that stuff is great for cutting grease and dirt! Use a pressure washer after spraying and a little scrubbing for some dynamite results.

I hear the D16's make great turbo engines. Noticed you have a V-tec head... not stock on EF series engines. Or so I have read and heard. I thought of making the swap on my ZC. I did make a purchase on a D16A8 just haven't made the swap yet. Specs show the A8 to be 20 HP over the SOHC ZC. I am curious if it will actually do better than the ZC with all the tricks it has. Everyone that has driven it says it is fast and fun.

Thumbs up on the work dood! looking good!
