lookn at a 90 accord lx and it stuck in sport mode and wont go into first but will start out in second and shift to third but not overdrive. mechanic said it was the TCM or shift solenoids. searched and found some info but i never found a really good answer of the fix.

 

Get a factory service manual and determine why it is stuck in sport mode. Take it from there.

 

ok first of all these 90's accord are knows to blow the tcm's some a repairable some arent. and it could also be shift solenoids. but it being stuck on sport mode brings me to the conclusion of the tcm being bad.

 

i'm having the same issue.. on my 91 accord,, did all the service on the trans work great for a while but went back the sport mode some one please help.. oh and if its TCM what years are compatible with my 91 accord.. thanks
