jdm K20A swapped into type s, problems. Ideas?
Back story; Original motor blew, saved money, bought jdm k20a type r swap with ecu, cannot get vehicle to start with jdm ecu, pin differences to ecu problem (using original wire harness). Vehicle will start will usdm ecu, idle is high though, around 1500 rpms, code for vtec malfunction comes on if jdm vtec solenoid/spool valve is installed due to one connector on valve. With usdm vtec solenoid spool valve installed no check engine light on but again idle high. Will k-pro help if i save for it, not very educated on k-pro, comments and suggestions will be help full. Also if anyone thinks i can get vehicle to run right with out k-pro would like to know how, money is tight!!!!!
Problem is you need to reset immobilizer to use JDM ECU. It won't start because of the immobilizer.
You can't use the K20 USDM ecu unless you have kpro because the JDM engine is different.
K-Pro should have been on your list for sure...
These are common mistakes/problems and talked about a lot...
If money is tight you shouldn't have wasted it on a JDM Fanboy engine swap
What did you spend on that swap if you don't mind me asking?

Here's your problem. You have two main fuel relays. Both are controlled by the ECU. The first one is standard to all Honda's. The second one is the immobilizer relay (IMOFPR). This is your problem. You have a JDM ECU which cannot close the second relay. Therefore your fuel pump doesn't turn on. So here's you options:
1. Get a 02-04 RSX-S ECU (which has IMOFPR capability) and get KPRO.
2. Bypass the secondary immobilizer fuel relay (IMOFPR).
Here's how you do option two. Pull the glove box down. Then take the two tabs out of the glovebox to be able to pull it all the way down (like you were changing your AC filters). Then peek just above the ECU and you'll see two little black boxes with wires going in it. One of those little black boxes should have the following four wires going into it.
yellow w/ black stripe
yellow w/ blue stripe
green w/ yellow stripe
black w/ yellow stripe
This is the IMOFPR Relay. Pull the yellow/black and yellow/blue wires out of the relay and splice them together. This will bypass the secondary immobilizer fuel relay (IMOFPR). Your car should now be able to start.
Let me know how it goes.
