Default Need a little advice on my built h22

Working on my build what seems forever but almost ready to buy the internals for my sleeved H22A4. Thought I had everything picked out just waiting on enough green. I decided to ask CP a question about the pistons I wanted. I was doing things different then most turbo build engines. I wanted to stay with stock compresson of 10-1. I liked how my first engine ran, it was the SH block the car came with. The engine only died do too a bad oil pump. Anyway, 10-1 means less boost to get to a give power level. Plus it allows me to pass smog legally , since its yearly here. Well the CP pistons won't hold up to boost CP told me. To get 10-1 boost pistons I would need to have them make them custom for $823 like $300 more then off the shelf. I looked all over on the net. But all the forced induction pistons are 9-1. I found that supertech will also make custom pistons too, anyone used them? looking for those that have lower compression boosted ludes. Hows the power before boost spools up? Like a big difference from stock? Also, if I go with 9-1 would I pass smog? Just looking for other experence.
