My friend just bought a JDM B16A2 for his 96 CX hatch. I've done three swaps and I know the wiring pretty well. I haven't swapped motors in an EK so there a few things that I'm unsure of.
He has the tranny from a 00 Si, JDM B16A2 OBDI longblock but all the mounts are missing from both. He's going to run a chipped P28 or P30 ECU (never got one yet) and an OBDI jumper harness.
My main concerns are the mounts. I know he needs a 99-00 Si rear engine bracket. I know that the driver's engine bracket need to be changed to the 99-00 Si bracket since the motor is from an EG. Will his stock rear engine mount bolt up to the 99-00 Si bracket? Will his stock driver's engine mount bolt to the 99-00 Si bracket? I think he needs to buy the 99-00 Si tranny front mount and upper bracket. If anyone has this setup let me know what he needs to use because I am going to install it next week.
