Default 247whp B20vtec

Im trying to get some more usable power out the motor. I know gearing is a big helper. The current engine/fuel setup is listed below. Give me some inputs and opinions on the setup and anything you would switch to help it out and what you think is killing it. BTW the car is tuned on PUMP 93. With the retune it will be switched over to e85.

The Current Engine Setup:
Stock sleeve bottom end
Wiseco 14:1+ pistons
Eagle H beams
ARP Main Studs
ACL "race" bearings
Type R oil pump
KMS Block Guard
ARP Head Studs
Cometic .030" 3 layer head gasket
Major Port work done at RP race engines here in town..
Buddy Club spec 5 cams
KMS Valves
Skunk2 valve springs
Skunk2 Retainers
OEM valve stem seals
OEM valve guides
Edelbrock VictorX Intake manifold port matched and extrude honed
Skunk2 70mm TB
RMF Narrow Replica Header, modified collector to 2.5", with a 2.5 - 3" meg added on
AEM Cam gears
Custom 3" intake w/ velocity stack with "cold air" box
Greddy timing belt
GSR Trans
OBX LSD
3" Exhaust
hondata s300

Fuel Setup:
Fuel system
RC 320cc injectors
AC Autotechnic Fuel rail
Aeromotive FPR
Aeromotive a1000 Fuel Pump
RCI 8gal fuel cell
Fram pgh1 Racing filter

14.1+ and pump gas 93. How much timing are you running? You should be able to gain some power with just being able to run better timing with the switch to the corn syrup.

with 247 whp you are maxing out these small little 320cc injector...

-Go with a set of i.d 725

-you can test another set of cam

-Buy a real custom header for your engine

-Go with a 3.5 air intake system

-a bigger tb will help you for more power

-a ported intake manifold will help you

-Your gsr ratio is not optimal for this engine

I wouldn't have used the block gaurd, they put more stress on the cylinders. Not all casting on the outside of the cylinders are the same in everyblock, you will have little high and low spots, while the block guard is the same size all the way around, eventually it will put a lot of stress where the high spots are, and possiby warp the cylinder.

Also, why so small with the injectors?

Other than that, awesome setup man. Looks friggin badass

Damn over a year?how many miles are on it? As mentioned above you should get a better header, cams, and injectors, then retune on e85

Can you post a dyno sheet? Should see a huge difference on E85.

It has an a1000 pump so its getting plenty of fuel.

I want to switch the spec 5s for pro3s..

Also I'm getting 750cc's.

You might have a giant pump, but it's not getting plenty of fuel, maxin out those little injectors. I would go with at least 900cc or 1000

Lets see a dyno graph. We can better judge where your bottle neck is. But better fuel alone would net you quite a bit of power.

First casey you need to put it on howards dyno. It will show you alot closer to the real power it makes. Which will be closer to 215 220 and the cams for sure then go to a header. Go a head and go big on the injectors you can always turn them down.

ID725cc injectors + e85 +Skunk2 pro 2 or 3 cams (if they clear your pistons & v to v clearance is checked etc.)

You will be happier :-)

Wow too high of a compression, I did 4 less whp with a WS2 exhaust. You should upgrade injectors and custom header. ( check my build thread)

Get at least some id725's if not id1000's. Better header, 3.5 in intake, 74-76mm t/b, e85, and pro 3's and it should really pick up some power!!! I would probably run a 4.7 final drive with the gsr gears. I had a 4.9 in mine and seemed a little short. I have my 4.7 back in it now.
