Icon2 Wipers dont come on same time as washer fluid ?

Problem solved:

Well today I replaced the ICU (Integrated control unit) which is behind the fuse panel under dash and now it works fine

Question,

Do the 88 civic sedans have a different wiper relay switch or something ?

On my 1990 Crx Si and 1991 Civic Si, the front wipers come on the same time I spray the washer fluid.

How come on my 1988 civic sedan, the wipers dont come on when I spray the washer fluid ?

My wipers don't come on when I spray either, 91 Crx Si. I always thought they were separate. Maybe it's a problem with the ICU?

Integrated control unit...it's a gray box behind the dash fuse panel and does various things for the corner lights and wipers. I think it does the seat belt warning as well.

My 88 Civic LX, 91 Integra LS, and 00 GSR don't activate the wipers with the fluid spray, unless you spray fluid for several seconds.

I've always considered it a feature. I can wet the windshield to the desired amount, then hit the wipers...

this gives me an idea as to why my seatbelt light comes on when my hazards button is pressed.

Thanks!
