Looks similar to a 57 trim.

Why not go with the Precision or Garret option they provide?

Yeah the 55 a/r housong seems to small probably just gonna go with a precision 4431e or holset hx35 with 63 a/r housing

To answer the questions.
The stainless .55 a/r housing is not "too" small for this app in question (even if more housing was desired, the .70 a/r option is there). The turbo will carry power, make great power and spool great without an issue at all. We've used this turbo on multiple D series, B series and KA (Nissan) apps; all with excellent feedback.

Here is a sample dyno from when testing was done. This is on a bone stock D15B 1.5L VTEC @16 psi with the .55 a/r housing.

Straight from the man himself^^ lol. It's a good turbo, especially if it's going to be a daily driven car.

OP where did you come up with 16psi? What internals are you going to be using? What will you be tuning on? What size injectors and pump are you using?

I was asking a question if it would be able to take 16psi....... ls block supertech 9:5:1 pistons. Eagle rods on the ported head blox. Intake manifold. Crower 404. Cams super tech valve springs motor is getting broken in now has like 300 miles ... last thing in need is perfect turbo and I think this is going to be it .. then write a good review for everyone

That would be fine with that turbo, but I would look into a little bigger, but I think the HX35 is a little big for what you want to do. If you do go bigger, do not start with 16psi, start low.

What is your power goal? Guessing 350-400whp range...this turbo will be more than sufficient.
What is the significance of 16psi?

I've never seen a bone stock d15 make that kinda power.
Especially with a power band like that

Lol 16psi is just a number an asumption To get me to my 300 plus goal ... I think this turbo will be good ... just deciding between 55 or 70 housing. ... my car going to be a daily but I like doing highway runs. Eithway this turbo sounds like it can do it if not im sure I can buy a seperate bep 70ar55ar/r housing

Forget the "16psi" thing, don't worry about boost numbers yet, it's all different with every turbo. If this is your car to go to work in, and rip here and there when your bored, go with the .50 A/R, if you are gonna be going to the track and DD'ing it, and racing around the streets, go with the .70

I doubt goautoworks would post a dyno graph and lie about the cars mods... Just sayin.

It happened. The motor went from the pallet to in the car, bolted the kit on, tuned it (VERY conservatively), and went to a SOHC shootout a few days later.

The turbo is responsive, offers a great power ban and doesnt fall off.. There's not much more you can ask for IMO out of a unit like this.

The .70 a/r is the more popular item. It comes with the 3" vband outlet housing and is great on setups that dont call for tight clearance (ie. non a/c) since the housing is physically larger and a 3" downpipe is needed. The .70 will naturally flow more. At 300whp, your not pushing the turbo near its limit by any means, so either would work.

You mean "by" 5500? What kind of head work do you have?

Ported and polished nothing crazy 3 angle valve job.. I figured anything would be a waste on an ls head that evryone says is crap. Was considering lsvtec but I started buying stuff for ls boefore I really made up my mind like I said as long as I can squezze at least least 350whp out of it ill be ok

You'll make a bit more then 350whp @15psi with that setup if you pick a big enough turbo. I made 370whp @ 15psi on a stock LS head with crower 404s and a 62mm turbo. Very good powerband

You can get an idea just by looking at the D series graph. At 5500 rpm it was making 200whp; you could only expect even better results from a motor with more displacement and head work.

^^ Exactly. What about cams? What cams are you going to be running? I would go with the .70 A/r though, just what I would do...
