Default 195/60/15 vs 205/50/15

Hey guys, so I have a DC with 195/60/15 kumho's. I'm currently dropped on PROGRESS CS-II coilovers (about 2.0in) and LS meshies. I would scrape my fender liner every time I hit a slight little dip. I was wondering if 205/50/15 tires would make a difference?

Would 205 be more smoother than 195 because of the fatter tire? and would 50 sidewall vs 60 reduce my chance of scraping and rubbing? I'm getting tired of this sound and braking hard everytime I go over a bridge.

50 will reduce the scraping of the wheel to fender liner, but it will also make your car sit lower. And no 50 will not be a smoother ride than 60, the sidewall is what contributes to comfort, you will have slightly better grip with 205 width tires as well.

That's not entirely true. It all depends on the type of tire used. More often softer compounds bring better grip results, then wider tire sizes.

To be honest, the 195/60/15's are rather oversized for your car. The 205/50/15's are almost identical to the factory tire diameter (best size for the car).

yea i know 50's will reduce my chance of rubbing but I cant decide over 195 or 205 for width.

what will be the difference between the two? 195 vs 205

If you're comparing 195/50/15 to 205/50/15, then 10mm in treadwidth and 5mm in sidewall height. Not a huge difference.
